To get warmed up for the action or just to start your weekend off on the right foot, meet up with everyone at the Barry Memo on Friday night. As everyone descends on Barry, the freestyle is a great chance to catch up with friends from around the country and dance with some new acquaintances.

​

'Dancing with the Stars' @ The Memo, Barry 


'Dance with the Stars' is the pre-competition freestyle night at Barry Memo on Friday. With top DJs all night, a Silc switch at midnight and the fun TAG competition. This freestyle boasts the best dancers from around the UK including the judges, teachers, crew and fellow competitors.

The party night will allow you to sample the wonderful venue at its best and will kick start
your dancing weekend on the Friday evening before the main Welsh championships. Doors open at 8 pm, and the event finishes at 1am. Only £12 per person on the door.

 

Equally, once you have that dancing bug we all know how hard it is to stop! Take your sunny's and catch breakfast and coffee on Barry Island Beach Sunday morning. Then on your way out of Wales, stop off at our Sunday Tea Dance in Nash Hall, Newport, NP18 2DD. There will be tea and cake like you have never seen, gently getting you ready for the journey home. See details below.

FLAVA Tea dance @ Nash Hall, Newport


The Sunday see FLAVA our afternoon (tea dance) freestyle where you can dance and chill out to funked up moody blues, funky blues, R&B, soul, modern tango and smooth latin tunes, provided by our resident superstar DJ Jen Eddy.

 

Venue: Nash Hall, Newport, NP18 2DD.

You can pay at the door, no ticket needed; And if you have a Welsh Champs 2024
 wristband still attached, we will give you our discount entry to £6!! It starts at 12pm till 4.00pm.
